International Day Against Drug Abuse

Students Unite for a Healthy Tomorrow

Observing the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Girinagar, June 26
In a powerful stand against drug abuse and harmful addictions, Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Girinagar observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a series of impactful events aimed at spreading awareness and empowering students.

The highlight of the day was an insightful session led by Shri Babu John, Sub-Inspector of Police and Coordinator of the District Children and Police Project, Kochi City. Addressing the students of Standard XI, he spoke candidly about the dangers of drug addiction, the impact of unhealthy relationships, and the growing concern of screen dependency. The session proved to be both eye-opening and thought-provoking, sparking meaningful reflection among the students.

Adding energy and vibrance to the awareness campaign, students from Standards VIII, IX, and XII presented a spirited flash mob performance, capturing attention with their theme:
“Say No to Drugs, Yes to Sports!”

Through coordinated movement, dance, and expression, the flash mob creatively conveyed the importance of making healthy life choices and embracing fitness and positivity.

The program successfully combined education with creativity, reinforcing the message that awareness, dialogue, and unity are key in the fight against drug abuse. The day served as a powerful reminder that today’s students are not just learners—but change-makers shaping a healthier tomorrow.
