Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar Celebrates World Environment Day with a Call to Action
Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, celebrated World Environment Day with a series of impactful events aimed at fostering ecological awareness among students. Dr. Sreeja K. G., Research Director EQUINOCT, was the chief guest.
The day’s programs commenced with a special assembly, where the Chief Guest and the Principal jointly planted saplings on the school campus, symbolically reinforcing the institution's commitment to a greener future.
In her keynote address, Dr. Sreeja shed light on the pressing challenges of climate change and the escalating threats it poses to global ecosystems. Emphasizing that environmental protection is a collective civic duty, she highlighted how small, conscious individual actions can collectively mitigate large-scale environmental degradation.
The celebrations also featured a vibrant array of student-led activities. A 'Creative Corner' was organized for students of Classes III to VI, showcasing their innovative ideas for conservation. Additionally, engaging video presentations were screened for students from Classes III to VIII, visually reinforcing the message of sustainability and climate action.
