Magnum Opus
Initiated in 1995, Magnum Opus is an annual cultural fest conducted by Standard XI students with the intention of integrating co-curricular activities with the mainstream curriculum.

The prime focus of this event is to promote art and culture and provide a platform to view and imbibe dance, music, literature, theatre and other arts from a new perspective. Students from all schools in the district participate in the various competitions and events.
The programme serves as an ideal platform for ample exposure and exchange of ideas and ideals for pupils of various schools. It includes an exotic mix of art, drama, music, dance and many other fun filled competitions.

Veda Classes
Veda Classes are conducted to help children rediscover the wealth of knowledge lying dormant in our Vedas and help channelize their way of thinking to newer fresher vistas. Knowledge of our tradition helps the students to blend themselves with globalization and westernisation without forgetting the Indian culture.

Annual Medical Check Up
A Medical check up is conducted every year at BVM Girinagar to ensure proper health of the students and educating them about healthy habits.

The Young Indian Movement

Young Indians (Yi) of our school have been very active this year. They participated and organised a variety of activities.

FASHION DESIGN WORKSHOP

A photography and fashion design workshop by Ms. Anubha Sinha and Ms. Merianna Kurian respectively was conducted for students of class 11.

Career Guidance

A talk on Career Guidance by Mr. Dil Raj, Regional Head of EDU Bridge was given to students of class 10.

Horn Not Ok Please'

The 'Horn Not Ok Please' campaign by Yi members was well appreciated by the public and has helped reduce noise pollution

Cleaning Campaign.

In an attempt to beautify the city ,Yi members of class 8 went on a cleaning campaign.

Music Demonstration

A music demonstration by international musicians was also organised. The students got to see awe inspiring performances by Ms. Angie Swan, American guitarist, Mr. Jean Davoisne, French drummer and Mr .Jayen Varma, Indian bassist.

Book Donation

Yi students donated story books to start a library in a Juvenile Home at Kakkanad.

Honouring our Non Teaching staff

Yi students honoured our Non Teaching staff Mr. Sivasankaran who retired this year.

DYiA the annual cultural fiesta organised by the Yi net students was held on 31st January. The children of ‘Sandhwanam’ were the special guests of the day. The students had a wonderful time playing games with the children. The little kids amazed everyone with their dancing skills and their guest Smt. Renuka Girijan enthralled us with her melodious voice. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
